Ryu in Griffintown is a cozy and wonderful restaurant with great staff and incredible service. We sat in the lounge area which was quite an experience and the staff was always on their feet and inquiring about the food. We started with the miso soup followed by Wagyu dumplings and it was beyond delicious! I ordered the Salmon and Tuna tartar and the presentation was beyond wonderful for I've never been served salmon and tuna tartar in that fashion. It was beyond tasty :) My partner had Shirayuki and we loved it too :) For dessert, we had the vegan mochi and it came in 3 wonderful flavors ! Would highly recommend this place as it's a perfect venue for a date night or chilling with friends. A 10/10 restaurant

this restaurant is amazing! My friends and I have been around 3-5 times in the last 6 months. Perfect for date night and girls night. Last time I went was on a Thursday and there was a DJ, music was fun and the volume was excellent (you could be next to the speaker and still hold a conversation without raising your voice). Waitress was very friendly and provided really good food and cocktail recommendations. If you like slightly sweet “skinny” cocktails go for Kappa, you won’t regret it

I had an amazing night in Montreal! Isadora and the entire staff were exceptional—their warmth and attentiveness made the evening truly special. The food quality and service were both top-notch. I especially enjoyed the creative flavors and choices prepared just for me. The baked crab hand roll and Wagyu dumplings were outstanding; I highly recommend them to anyone looking to experience unique and delightful tastes. Thank you for a fun and memorable evening!

Amazing cocktails!! I tried the ryu sunset and the key lime pie and I love them both! Avocado tacos were also amazing. The service was really good - our waitress always made sure we were looked after. This restaurant is definitely more on the expensive side but definitely with trying.

WoW what a terrific restaurant! My wife and I ate here on Valentine’s Day. This restaurant had a preset menu option which we decided to go with. I have not had sushi this good in a very long time. Every plate had a unique taste and flavour. The staff were pleasant and considering it was Valentine’s Day they were able to still offer top notch service. The restaurant is modern, trendy and great ambiance. It is super clean and they offer some great wine options.

Nice modern Japanese restaurant in Griffintown. Ambiance: great decor, very modern but a bit too loud for my liking (I know... I am getting old) Drinks: had the Watermelon Margarita which was very tasty, but not that strong. Was missing a bit more tequila. I then ordered a regular Margarita and made it a double (that definitely was better but came with a price tag) Food: everything was delicious. Super fresh and tasty. The tacos were incredible, the dumplings super good as well. We had two sushi rolls that didn’t disappoint. By far my favorite dish of the night was the beef braised short ribs. They literally melt in our mouths. 10/10 on the food. Price: definitely a pricey dinner. 250 including tip. Service: was good. A bit slow at the beginning but overall very attentive staff. Always making sure we had water on our glasses. Would go back for special occasions.

Had such a great dinner at RYU. The fish was super fresh, everything was beautifully plated, and the vibe was really chill but still elevated. Definitely one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to in Montreal—can’t wait to go back.

I had been trying several seafood places in Montreal and I can defined say that ryu has become my number 1 !!! The setting, the amazing staff and of course the amazing quality dishes that they have are top notch. Thank you so much for all the hard work you guys put it, it truly adds on for the perfect experience !!
